THE WORK BEFORE THE WORK

From “just following up”
to “ready to start.”

A focused workflow for the part of bookkeeping that happens before you open the books.

01

Make the request clear.

Add a client and tailor their checklist. Create a fresh monthly request without carrying last month’s approvals forward.

02

Give a considerate nudge.

Prepare an email or WhatsApp draft with just the missing items. Review it, send it yourself, and log the follow-up.

03

Review what comes back.

Clients can mark documents as sent through their checklist link. You review the files and approve each item when it is ready.

YOUR PROCESS, WITH LESS FRICTION

Keep the folders.
Lose the guessing.

CloseChase tracks whether an item is missing, received or reviewed. Your documents stay in the secure folders you already use.

  • Private saved workspace, with verified sign-in
  • Client checklist links that expire and can be revoked
  • Monthly reports and portable backups

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Clear from the start.

Does CloseChase send messages automatically?

No. It prepares a draft containing outstanding items. You open it in email or WhatsApp, review it and send it. A separate action logs the reminder after sending.

Where are my client documents stored?

CloseChase stores client details, checklist statuses, notes and folder links in your private workspace. It does not upload or store the source documents. Use your existing secure folder provider for those files.

Do clients need an account?

Once public access is enabled, clients can use a private checklist link without signing in. Treat that link like a key: anyone with it can see that checklist. Links expire in 30 days and can be revoked.

Is “ready to start” an accounting approval?

No. It means every checklist item has been marked approved by the workspace owner. It does not certify the books, a tax filing, legal compliance or the accuracy of the documents.

Can I take my data with me?

Yes. Download a monthly CSV report or a complete JSON backup from Practice settings. A backup can be restored into your workspace after you review the replacement warning.
